The city doesn't care. There is a bike trail crossing north of Wal-mart that the city engineer refuses to re-strip. People can cross there but it is dangerous because it is poorly stripped. The speed of the cars on Unser make it even more dangerous. The engineer stated they were doing a study, this was back in January. No work has been done to make it safer. I see kids with their bikes all the time trying to cross Unser while cars speed by. Guess the city is waiting for an accident to happen. Seems like the city only cares about doing work at the new downtown. The rest of the city is on their own.
