Call Town Engineering Dept and make sure they have this on their list, sometimes its an issue that requires some investigation. I had one blocked for 5 months and called and found out the problem was somewhere down the street and they had to dig it out because it was so clogged. Just make sure it's on their list !!

The catch basins along Middletown Avenue are cleaned every 6 to 9 months as they get blocked by stone tracked off the nearby school bus parking lots. The two catch basins at 159 were cleaned during May 2015. They were inspected on 7/7/15 and found to be perfectly clean and functioning. The problem is believed to occur at high tides when the water cannot flow out into the Quinnipiac due to the pipe elevations. This issue is being closed now, but please re-post if the problem recurs frequently.
