Wood chippings stockpiled outside 172 Alden Avenue have washed into the catch basin and blocked it. This is the immediate cause of the problem. The catch basin will be cleaned when they are removed.
Unfortunately cleaning the catchment did not resolve the issue. The current puddle is not small, as we were told to expect, but large enough that it is flooding the curb cut on the corner an inch from the tip of the curb. I tried to clean it with a rake and it did not improve drainage. Please give this area more attention before winter or it will render the whole corner an ice rink.
This CB has been cleaned twice recently. As there is a crack in the lintel and slight subsidence it may be damaged internally. If it re-blocks will you please repost. ISSUE CLOSED
