OMG - This has been ongoing for a few weeks now, north bound traffic flow sucks between the entrance to Pinnacle until you get past 84th. Vehicles are beginning to cut through the residential sections of Mission to avoid the tie ups.

Thanks you for bringing this matter to us. This intersection is currently running half the cycle length of the other intersections along 108 St to allow for vehicles exiting the side street to reduce their queuing. We are monitoring the intersection and wil adjust the cycle length according.

I think you are going to have to solve the queuing problem from the McDonalds/Shoppers intersection another way, there has been a few times where traffic has almost backed up all the way to 68th ave. Maybe give those vehicles trying to head south on 108th access to the log haul road or something . . .

It's faster to turn at the tims corner, drive past shoppers and thru the light. You can usually pass about 15 cars and save 10 minutes of waiting

The queuing within the plaza is on private property, the City is not able to mitigate the internal design. However we are trying our best to keep the flow of traffic at the intersection of the 79 Ave/Plaza Access and 108 St moving. Access to the log haul route is also outside of the City's jurisdiction as the log haul route is a private road.

As per Mr. Rogan's comment, there are at least two other exits to this plaza, heading north and one heading east via 84 Ave that motorists can utilize.

The signal timings are being monitored closely and adjusted accordingly to remain coordinated with the other traffic signals along 108 St.

I see the same traffic back up still occurring northbound on Hwy 40 and at 79 Ave (I go through at 7:45 am). I've noticed for some reason this week has been especially bad. I understand adjusting the light timing to allow traffic from the plaza but I also feel that that plaza traffic flow has been an issue since it opened. There is only 1 exit from that plaza for traffic that wants to turn south on Hwy 40 and that causes back-ups at that exit/entrance (79 Ave). Vehicles that are trying to exit (either wanting to turn left or right) are held up from the left turning lane (often backed up and other vehicles can't get around that lane or vehicles wanting to get into that lane). If there was an emergency, evacuation would be a real problem. I think making more exits that allow more vehicles to turn left (to go S on Hwy 40) would solve a lot of the traffic flow problem. Can't the City force the land owners to solve this issue if it's affecting the City intersections?
