Unfortunately this is a common occurrence. Any time it rains and a little mud can be slung around, out come the trucks. If anyone is actually caught for doing this, they should be made to repair and reseed the area, but fat chance that'll happen. From Leonard all the way to Banbury, this stretch of greenway is constantly being torn up. A friend of mine said she saw Broughton students doing donuts where the kids play soccer at Banbury and Brooks. I can't confirm this and it seems just as likely that some of the State students who rent (and park their cars on the lawns of their rental properties) would be suspect as well.
When residents of the big homes along Nottingham used to have parties, all the guests would park on the greenway in clear view of the "No Parking" signs. That seems to have stopped, but the mindset is that either no one is going to catch these guys or no one cares. The same goes for all the speeders and people who consider the stop signs a suggestion or inconvenience to them.
Sorry ... I'm in a mood to rant today.
