You mean the Warwick Blvd street parking along the Hilton stores on the side of the jewelry store, restaurant, bakery? Yes I have seen that too. There is one purple Dodge that seems to camp out there especially after noon. My guess, owner or staff members of someone on that strip coming to work, lovely. .i have seen people park in the bus stop for lack of temp parking just to run into the bakery for ten minutes.. Not sure why they have those 2 hour parking signs if they are not willing to enforce it. Nothing else put in electric parking meters. These can accept credit cards, can adjust rates to time of day, example after say 11 pm no charge until 7 Am. Use the money from the meters for the trees and flowers upkeep in Hilton. One of the nicer looking pubic areas.in Newport News.

This situation happened in Hampton a few years back, but the money was cut to the landscape budget. The cost of mowers and the operators has outpaced the cost of support. There are only 3 workers now and we had 56 before.

Check that restaurant next to the cake bakery, pretty sure the purple car belongs there. What looks like another staff there loves to park his car in that restricted parking, so 2 cars. Some are Born to the Manor, and yes it interferes with short term customers wanting to get in and out of those small stores that line Warwick Blvd. Parking is at a premium during the day in Hilton.

I second it, if you aren't going to enforce the parking signs, or tow off offenders, remove the signs Newport News. As is, just a freebie space for long term parking for your work shift, with a sign that drives off people who don't know the signs are token and are a joke.

Tow a couple off, it will change the behavior of a few acting badly.

It has nothing to to with it. Basically spam with an axe to grind, they have an audience. You see this Hampton post peppered throughout the Newport News issues, over and over, with no correlation to the issue posted. Has gotten old. Always the same, cut backs in Hampton, we are down X people, money. They just substitute "We had that problem".

That is not true. Spraying herbicides cost money. Take that away and the slow downward decline picks up a bit more speed.
