I see that Brian Funk has acknowledged this, what is next? Is this something that will be addressed?

This issue contains several components that will be addressed with differing time frames. The mowin has and will continue to be done. Weeds are being sprayed and will be removed. The street sweeping crew is currently in the Poquonock neighborhood, and will be sweeping the Day Hill corridor after that. Shrubs and trees need to be replaced, but will need to wait until the cooler/rainier weather for that to occur (greater success rate when planting is done at that time). Thank you for your concerns about the Day Hill corridor.

Tree issues will be addressed. The other issues have been dealt with at this point. We will close the issue with the understanding that this additional work is needed.

I really think you need to take a look out the window of the town garage on Day Hill Road. If you feel the issue has been dealt with I would love to meet. Not only does it look the same but traveling around the town and looking at other medians and areas, I am embarrassed. Kennedy Road, the nice new round-a-abouts on Prospect Hill and Land Roads, and Lancaster and Hayden Station look horrible. Weeds are larger than the plants. Why spend the money on them if they can't even be kept up.

We are working on addressing the additional sites mentioned as well as Day Hill Road.

This is what you said back on June 12th. I drive Day Hill Road 6 days a week, at least a couple of times each day and have noticed NOTHING change. Driving around other areas of town and seeing that they all are in the same shape. Overgrown weeds, 1/2 dead or dead bushes, grass not trimmed around what trees are left, broken curbing or missing curbing, weeds growing in rock areas. What has been addressed?????

We continue to work on this issue, and will do so to the winter.
