To follow up: I understand MM's comment above, HOWEVER, yesterday the paving process was finally done and it was POORLY EXECUTED AND HANDLED. A simple, efficient way to do this would have been to place a sign at the base of Foxon Hill @ Quinnipiac and then a second further up Foxon Hill notifying drivers of the hours during which paving would be done. Instead, paving was done without notice and went into late afternoon when people were coming home from work! Roosevelt Street and Ext is a dead end street and the only entrance and exit is via Foxon Hill! I know one person who was trying to come up the Hill into Roosevelt and was turned away. He came back later and they allowed him into the Street. The second person was trying to exit Roosevelt and was told if she left, she'd need to stay away for at least 3 hours. Then they barricaded both "ends" of Foxon Hill and some people left cars on side streets and walked home. A third person I knew was trying to get into Roosevelt from the top of the Hill at around 4:30 or so and was told he'd have to leave his car and walk. As he was walking, THREE CARS WERE ALLOWED INTO ROOSEVELT! He went back to his car, asked an officer and was told that the access from Quinnipiac was now open. He drove around only to find that area still blocked off. He came back to the top of the Hill and relayed this to the officer, who pointed out more cars coming up. The man went BACK down to Quinnipiac where a second officer had moved a few barriers. SOOOOOO poorly handled. I appreciate that the Hill is being paved, but why tear up and mill the surface prior to Memorial Day, then leave no work done even on sunny, temperate days? Then suddenly paving is done and there is no notice! A simple sign or reverse 911 would have greatly helped. Many people were not only inconvenienced yesterday, but had true problems: I saw one person walking home after leaving a car on a side street and the person had real mobility issues and was having trouble walking. Ridiculous.

Yeah it was really annoying how yesterday went. However, this morning, with it done, it was so niiiiiiice!
