A city tree that died at least two years ago was trimmed and remains as a tall, dead pole. It's removal seems to have been complicated--I'm guessing here--by the fact that it is steadying a utility pole with an attached cable. This incredibly unsightly dead tree literally overshadows our efforts to plant new trees and beautify our neighborhood.
