Speed bumps are detrimental to property values, annoying when you have to deal with them on a regular basis -- especially in snow and ice -- and don't really do much. Speeders take the bumps fast -- and loudly -- or drive around them, if they can. There are already many stop signs in the area to slow drivers. Occasional traffic patrols are the best solution.
