Yard waste has been accumulating for approximately four years. Debris is continually piled in yard instead of taken to curb for pickup. This includes leaves, twigs, branches, and tree trunks. Been a health hazard since wildlife has been using the pile for the last couple of years, and is continuing to use the pile. Have seen snakes, mice, roaches, and other wildlife in the debris pile.

Hỏi. CART OUR OVER 24 HOURS. Containers shall be removed from the curb the day that they are serviced and shall not be stored in front of a dwelling or commercial establishment or otherwise in front of the building line closest to the street. Any variations from these requirements require the approval of the Solid Waste Manager. Failure to remove the container from the curb the day that the container is serviced is deemed in violation.

I can’t believe that this pile is in compliance with city ordinances. If that is the case, Fayetteville needs to revise what they consider to be acceptable with yard waste, especially since this pile has now become a health hazard with various rodents, reptiles, and insects living in it.
This individual should be hauling the debris to the curb for proper pickup instead of creating a health hazard for their neighbors.
Unacceptable from the officials working for the city of Fayetteville. Since this is in compliance, and neighbors are now dealing with vermin and wildlife living in the debris pile and coming into their yards, what city ordinances can we follow to ensure our yards are kept safe and clean from this health hazard? We want to know what else we can do since apparently creating living spaces for wildlife is alright.
