Beschreibung

West 26th street has dramatically changed from sparse residences to high density residences. Additionally it is a feeder for the wonderful bicycle path along Nicholson toward downtown. W 26th with all the new residential units is also a traffic connector for all housing west of Yale and north of 25th as it is the only through street without speed bumps between Yale and Shepard so anyone coming to 610 with the Nicholson access ramp is likely to use it. Recently a developer has modified the street in a manner that essentially eliminates roadside parking to maximize their curb yard. If cars park on the curb (as visitors will for these high density homes the developer created) the road is less than 9 feet wide. Eliminating the ability for traffic to move through. Additionally, the curb starts immediately within the current street and does not have the required 50 feet of transition when a ditch meets a curb according to the city ordinance. This same contractor did the same thing at the other side of the street and had to rip out the curb and redo it. Please correct this too! What makes this even more difficult is that they have narrowed the street the most at the only access drive for our 10 unit shared driveway. If anyone parks in the street at all - any visitors to our homes that park on our side of the street, we can't get out of our only access driveway!
