Deskripsyon

Sidewalks are in hazardous conditions with the amount of taxes we pay to the city we should not have to worry about tripping over pieces of concrete heaving up from the walks. In the dark its difficult to navigate.

Sidewalks are the responsibility of the home owner, not the city of Troy Just to keep you informed

Yeah, I wouldn't complain too loudly about the rough sidewalks in front of your home or you'll have Troys code enforcement showing up forcing YOU to repair THEIR sidewalk.

It's a huge farce purpetrated on the taxpayers but somehow Troy is able to get away with it. I don't know how the citizens would have ever voted that law in?!!?!?!?!

I don't know of any other city that pawns its sidewalk responsibility off on its residents.

Albany surely doesn't and they have the most perfect well maintained sidewalks anywhere.

A tree that the City planted in front of my house was knocked down during that bad storm 4-5 years ago and raised up one square of the sidewalk. The City was called to come and fix it, since it was THEIR TREE that caused it. Guess what? The sent me a citation to repair it within 30 days or they'd take me to court. Tried fighting them to no avail. Paid a mason $500.00 to replace that square of sidewalk. Not fair!
