When will these islands be addressed?

A contract was awarded last week for maintenance of all the island in town, work should begin shortly

Good I drove by them today and weeds are out of control.. It at this point doesn't even look like it's landscaped. The choice of plants that were planted don't lend much to the eye.

These medians look awful and full of weeds. Also hard for cars to see around the high weeds possibly a dangerous accident due to poor sight lines.

Good morning. The contract was signed by all parties at the end last week. The vendor is working with the Police Department to coordinate details (as required on Main Street) and will start the work shortly. They understand that this street is top priority for the Town and will work on these islands as soon as they are able to.

While this is encouraging, we are approaching 4th of July and this has taken more time then necessary. Now the field at the Middle School is showing many weeds as well. We need to address these ongoing issues with town appearance? What is the best way to do this?

This spring the landscapers will be instructed to clean and mulch the Main St. Islands.
