Description

I have written about this issue before, but the response indicated to me that the responder did not really understand the complaint. It is not a question of the left turn arrow malfunctioning, but rather that I think it is poorly programmed. If you are driving northbound on blue ridge road, and you are in the left turn lane to turn onto Lake Boone Trail West bound, and if you are about the sixth or seventh car in line in the left turn lane, even if you were there far enough ahead of time to trip the Sensor, you still won't make it through on that first green arrow. The little arrow will turn to red before you get through the intersection, and you will have to wait through another very long cycle, because that Busy Blue Ridge Rd. intersection has very long cycles. No other cars traveling in any other direction have to wait through cycles at that intersection.everybody gets through in plenty of time. Just those people making that left turn have to sit through cycles and this is not a matter of rush hour traffic jams, this is just anytime there are six or more cars in that left turn lane.why can't that left turn arrow Be programmed to let everybody through on that first cycle? As it is now it only allows about four cars through. Obviously the sensors are there are in the road. can't it just be reprogrammed? Thanks for your attention to this matter.
