UPDATE: Thank you for contacting Pinellas County. The funding status of the project to improve the signalized intersection at 62nd Avenue North at 25th Street North has been included in the request for the next Penny for Pinellas effort. For additional information on the Penny for Pinellas effort – please contact Brent Hall, Engineering Administrative Mgr - 727-453-3344. The geometry of the roadway, as it currently exists, does not allow the addition of left-turn arrows, because there is no room for the left-turn bays. Most of the crashes at this intersection were caused by motorists failing to yield right-of-way to oncoming motorists, and running red lights. Please call me if you would like to discuss further.
