Deskripsyon

The 4700 Block of Cedar Avenue has now experienced close to a month of lack of street repair. After digging up and replacing pipes twice there are still metal covers - one of which is not off center - covering the holes. It is likely to cause serious traffic accidents as well as being a very noisy nuisance.

I agree. I live right near the metal plates and as the street has a lot of traffic the banging when anything goes over them is incredibly loud and constant day and night. At 77 years of age with a husband close to 80, this noise makes it difficult to sleep. The mound of dirt on the sidewalk is disgusting and apt to attracting insects and vermin.
This whole thing is potentially detrimental in many ways. Why do we pay real estate tax that keeps rising when the city does nothing to fix the situation. Since I still work, I am also paying wage tax.
If someone from a TV station would come out they could see he mess and also record the banging of the plates.

Street repair has finally been completed. However, the metal plates that were covering the holes continue to be left on the street. Several neighbors helped move them off the two center lanes but they are still by the curbs on both sides and need to be picked up by the Streets Department. It would be helpful if you would forward this notice to them Thank you.
