I agree. I live right near the metal plates and as the street has a lot of traffic the banging when anything goes over them is incredibly loud and constant day and night. At 77 years of age with a husband close to 80, this noise makes it difficult to sleep. The mound of dirt on the sidewalk is disgusting and apt to attracting insects and vermin.
This whole thing is potentially detrimental in many ways. Why do we pay real estate tax that keeps rising when the city does nothing to fix the situation. Since I still work, I am also paying wage tax.
If someone from a TV station would come out they could see he mess and also record the banging of the plates.
