Description

Pedestrian right-of-way pylons are needed for the crosswalks across 19th at H Street NW. These crosswalks do not have associated traffic lights or walk/don't walk indicators. Vehicle traffic frequently passes through this area at a high rate of speed, without regard for pedestrians actively crossing. Yesterday a driver honked at me as I was crossing, perhaps indicating confusion about who has the right of way.
