The traffic light at the intersection of Rt. 43 and Best Rd. turns red too quickly once a vehicle on Best Rd. reaches the intersection with Rt. 43. Since traffic on Rt 43 is on a State Hwy and is traveling at 45 mph, vehicles waiting for the light to change should have to wait longer. Instead, the light changes immediately after vehicles on Best Rd. reach the intersection, interrupting the flow of traffic on 43. In the winter, this is particularly bad, as eastbound 43 traffic is forced to stop in the middle of a long hill just to let a single vehicle enter 43. This is dangerous and inconvenient to drivers on Rt. 43.

Putting that light in and re-reouting Best Rd. was the worst thing they ever did!! I don't understand why they couldn't just leave that hill alone, why did they have to re-route it to 43 in the first place, that light is damn horrible in the winter coming down the hill when it turns red, someone is going to get into a serious crash because it is impossible to stop there.

And lately, the light is red for rt 43 travelers more often than it is green. I timed the green light once and it stayed green for about 15 seconds and went back to red for about a minute over at least two cycles, even with no one waiting on Best to trip it. Is there something wrong with the light? I guess it does slow down the traffic merging eastbound on 43, which is also a problem with road ragers trying to jump slower drivers up that hill, but it really is a nusiance. And I agree in the winter, it is a serious hazard trying to stop for that light on snowy roads or get going again going up hill.
