This afternoon as I drove by someone has added a set of matresses and also there were 3 couch cushions that had been tossed along the sidewalk and into the street just north of the rubbish pile. Again I think the best solution is to have the donation boxes removed.

Since I have created this issue and there are others that have the same issue we have seen where the trash around these bins would get picked up and then within 48 hours more would get tossed there. Then cleaned up and tossed so on and so forth. Around the time of April 22nd this area was really cleaned up and the two bins were removed and looked great. However as I suspected again on Monday night/Tuesday timeframe someone again, even without the bins, came through and proceeded to dump their trash (a chair and a mattress). The bad thing is even though the city has come through and cleaned up the messes left by these people, they seemed to continue to dump thier stuff there just like a cat who will go to the same spot to do its business. I'm not sure how we would stop this from happening. I have not drove over to the Kroger lot across the street to see if those two bins have now become the dumping grounds. I have a feeling they have. I suppose the only resolution for me is to find a different route to and from work so that I don't have to look at the trash that people think is ok to place there.

For the past 10 months the old EDS parking lot at 930 West Holmes Road near South Washington street had been clear of blue donation box and trash. There wasn't a blue donation bin there this past Friday, 2/5. However this morning it was a disappointment to see another blue bin at the very same location with a couch, trash and more surrounding the donation box. This is why I never closed this thread because it showed up again. This has absolutely has to be stopped. It looks trashy and a business just moved into the Spartan Tire building over the past month or so. It is very disappointing.

The last time I updated this thread it was in Feb 2016 after there was another donation box placed on this property of 930 West Holmes near South Washington Street. The blue bin had been removed by over the past 2 weeks people continue to bring their trash and dump it there. I am really annoyed by this to say the least. Right now there is a tv, sleeper couch, 7 mattresses and not sure what may still be under the mattresses. I'm not sure how to stop this. It is like these people are like cats. Once a cat know where the litter box is and you mover their litter box they will continue to go there regardless. Same thing here. Doesn't seem to matter that the donation bin is gone these people continue to dump their trash there. It is sad. See the photos of what I took today on 4/5/2016.

Code Compliance has sent a letter to the property owner and they have seven days to comply. The letter was sent on March 29, 2016.
