Are the banks presently being fined and if so, are they paying them?

Earlier this week, some plywood was put over the huge hole in the roof--pretty ugly, of course. Nothing else has been done to this property.

Another month has gone by and there is no change at this property. Roof is still plyboard, trash still evident, yard still a mess. This blight is quite awful.

This property is dragging down our neighborhood. It has been more than 2.5 years since it's been in horrible shape. There are no more excuses--action needs to be taken now.

Agreed. I'm tired of coming back again and again, and not getting any firm answers. There shouldn't still be an open claim after 2 years. The property appears to be bank owned. It's not just a black mark on the neighborhood, but structurally unsafe as it was severely burned and the roof was open for an entire winter. The city should tear it down and bill the bank. What else do we need to do to make it happen?

Take this house down! It doesn't need a new roof as has been suggested to me! It is a blighted building and the neighborhood is tried of seeing it. I am sure that our elected officials would not allow this in their neighborhood.

No action has been taken on this property at 44 Diamond St. Apparently when workers entered the house a couple of months ago to look at or prepare to put on a new roof, they discovered that the rafters were not safe and they could not put a new roof on afterall. TAKE THIS HOUSE DOWN NOW is what our neighbors are constantly saying.

This property is worse than ever. I posted a photo of it last week as the roof was begun but not completed and there is trash all over the yard. Let's get this taken care of, New Haven. Take this house down.

Foreclosure sale date 10/15/16

The neighbors are waiting to see what happens later this month with the foreclosure sale. Keep this issue open until there is a final resolution about this blighted house.
