This light has made the traffic coming from Woburn to Reading an absolute nightmare for the evening commute. I realize the light is in Reading and the traffic backs up into Woburn, so maybe that is why nothing has been done about this. The light is not out, it is creating so much traffic road rage has become an issue. This should be a blinking yellow light at the evening commute. Everyone just sits there waiting for the light to change while no cars are coming out of South St. I can't believe nothing has been done about this yet. Traffic backs up in every direction by the Kohls intersection. The other day the South St light was blinking yellow at 5:00pm and there was absolutely no traffic. I live in Reading and work in Woburn and would love to have this isssue resolved.

We are aware of this issue and have made adjustments in the timing of the signal to allow additional time to the west bound traffic in the evening hours. There is a repair that is needed which cannot be performed until the completion of the underground utility work in the area. We will continue to monitor the traffic and make additional adjustments to improve the signal operation until the permanent repair can be made.
