Greater Dwight Development purchased this Bench and made the Bus Shelter for those shopping at the Dwight Place Shopping Center. Unfortunately, the bench and shelter have been abused by "others" not shopping at the center and became a place for some to hang out and sleep causing issues at the bus shelter. It was removed to eliminate the disagreements and loitering.

I'm confused. Is the decision to not replace the bench to discourage loitering among non bus riders or is the decision to replace the bench based on the work order number I see? Also, if the decision is to not replace the bench, why didn't anyone bother to convey that decision here for over a year and if the concern is loitering, why not have police check on the area to discourage loitering? (Aren't there already police patrolling by Stop and Shop nearby?)

We did not post a work order and we do not plan on replacing. This post was just brought to my attention, I did not know of your posting prior to that. The police are aware of the issue and we do already pay for them to patrol the shopping center and they have a check list of concerns which this is one area for them to watch. We thank you for your concern.

The Dept. of Transportation, Parking, and Traffic has a work order 8192. What does that mean? Also, is the Greater Dwight Development Corp. copied on See Click Fix issues?

Without a bench, I've seen passengers use overturned shopping carts as makeshift benches. Please reconsider your decision not to reinstall a bench at this busy bus stop bordering a supermarket.
