I heard that honking. It was totally obnoxious.....

Let's see, in the middle of a bad ice storm a salt truck was trying to make it safe for you and your family...blowing the horn to alert traffic around him that he was coming...get over it

I heard it as well but due to conditions I just figured to ignore it. But not the first time that I have seen those hand gestures from Kearny workers. I know it was a ruff morning but nobody needs to be like that. The air horn was a bit much, the regular horn would have done. It took me three hours to get ten miles to home, it was bad that morning.

Correct hand gestures are not needed but i have also seen residents give hand gestures/throwing things also yelling a few words that are not needed to the men who are working clearing the streets and trying to make all of our daily commute better.. when you drive down kearny ave during a snow storm and their are 20 cars double parked its not a easy task for them to keep stoping to wait for residents that give them hand gestures beacuse their doing the job at hand..

Frank I absolutely agree, not an easy job to get done with a lot of constant traffic and people who do not follow the rule of treat people the same way you would want to be treated. From double parking to not even clearing snow from street or walk. I have always taken the time to remove all snow right down to the curb as well as a few of my neighbors. More effort need to be given by both the community and the town. Parking seems to be one of the biggest of the issues on a lot blocks.
