After receiving notification of appearance issues at the property of the former Millbrook Package Store, the Health Department conducted a site inspection. Litter and debris was found to be covering the two piles of dirt, and other areas in the parking lot. There was also unsightly brush and grass clippings accumulating in the rear, along the East Street side. A written citation was sent to the property owner, who subsequently cleaned various items of debris. The Health Department has spoken to the property owner, who stated that the piles of dirt are usable product, yet he will remove them from the property in the spring. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the Code Inspector at 860-285-1825.

It's April now - is the owner going to do anything about the dirt piles? If the dirt is "usable product", maybe they should put signs in the piles saying "Free dirt!". I'm sure the piles would disappear quickly.
