Why don't you go and be a good neighbor and knock on their door and ask if they need help or why they didn't shovel the snow? Maybe they are handicap or seniors? Maybe they did the best they could? Offer to help. Buy some ice melt for them. Help out.

They are not handicapped, or seniors. They are graduate students in their 20s who seem, on the basis of my periodic sightings, to be in the perfection of health.
