Back again. You guys have issued this vehicle at least three ROSA citations in the last week or so, which the neighbors and I really appreciate. Still, it's not stopping this guy. He should be towed.

hey I saw that. it is just that when i talked w/ the 311 staff recently they said that by including the licence plate in the report itself they can then program their cars' scanner/computer system to look for that tag number.
So in this case they may have done that for you by seeing the photo and typing it into their system. but just FYI -- it may help them out if you enter it yourself.

ROSA exemption or not, it still has to follow the rules of the RPP. As a vehicle without a permit it cannot park here 24/7. From the DMV website:
"Note: A ROSA exemption is NOT a parking permit, and it does NOT exempt a vehicle from DC parking regulations. For example, vehicles with ROSA exemptions are still subject to all Residential Parking Permit (RPP) restrictions in effect in the location where the vehicle is parked."

It boggles my mind how the people empowered to enforce the laws don't even understand them. Once again, from the top:

Why do the rest of us pay to register our vehicles in DC when according to badge 292 we can apparently have out-of-state plates and park for free with a ROSA exemption? Would love to see badge 292's response but we all know it's not going to happen.

Good morning. This issue has not been properly resolved as this vehicle with no permit parks here literally every day. Will forward to DDOT in a separate email.

BTB, I forwarded this one (and others) to the office of the Ward 6 councilman and DDOT. It is clear that he lives here as he parks on the block every night but at this point they're never going to enforce it from posting here. You could try calling it in.
