I understood from the City traffic officials who met with the neighborhood last year that this intersection was to be renovated. They said that the State had allocated funds for the complete restoration of the traffic signal and walk lights at this intersection. They said that the timers were broken and were going to be replaced. What happened to that plan? Could someone from Traffic please post a response to this so that can learn where this project stands?

Hi ACPD, there are already two other tickets open about this - one from last year, and one that I posted about three months ago. Despite having heard via SCF that this issue was funded and ready to be fixed, I've seen no response from any city organizations, nor has there been any response from Alderwoman Edwards. Does anybody in an official capacity have a timeline or progress report on the resolution of this problem?

Construction at this intersection for traffic signal improvements is slated to begin in the spring of 2012.
