12/27/2014 The upper section of the paved Wissahickon Bike Trail, from Rittenhousetown Lane down to Forbidden Drive, is covered with leaves, compost, and gravel.

Does Philly Parks and Rec perform ANY routine maintenance on the Wissahickon Bikeway?

As of 03/29/2017, the paved trail had been cleaned up numerous times over the last 3 years by a volunteer from the bicycle community. Apparently, this is too much "work" for city parks "employees". Maybe FOW could help out.

11/05/2017 The neglect of the Wissahickon Bikeway by philly parks & rec continues. Sadly, FOW doesn't seem to care either. It would seem that a volunteer from the bike community is the only one who cares about maintaining this spectacular trail.
