What we are looking at in this image is what is supposed to be the grass median at the entrance of Forest River Park, near the baseball fields. People have parked their trucks and cars - purposefully? - on the grass, have caused deep tire tracks, and have turned the median to mud. This behavior continues into the spring, causing this median to become mini-canals, filled with mud and breeding mosquitoes. This ongoing situation not only looks terrible, in an otherwise nice, upscale neighborhood, it is, I believe, also creating an unhealthy situation for the parents and children who use the ball fields in the spring and summer. Frankly, this area is really getting abused by motorists - as well as the so-called entry-roads area leading into Forest River Park; people parking on the grass (actually mud now). Can't No Parking on the Grass or Medians signs be put up, to help preserve this otherwise beautiful public park?

As you can plainly see from the previous image - this is really getting to be a major situation. No Parking This Side of Street - Strictly Enforced, signs, or perhaps some sort of fence, might begin to correct this quickly escalating problem.

A section of curbing would solve the issue

There were No Parking signs, people ignored them and then they disappeared just like the ignored Stop sign that was there. (How do you put up a Stop sign and then take it down?).

...now if only we could get a rule of NO PARKING ON GRASS in place within the Forest River Park site proper. Each winter and spring, the otherwise beautiful (healthy) grassy areas at the entrance of FRP, near the caretakers house and along the ball field, are ritually destroyed by motorists.

You can have all the signs you want . Unless the police ticket and tow it doesn't matter .
