At the corner of Welches Point Rd and Lawrence Ave there is a major public hazard. The phone company placed a large box, low on the utlity pole just west of Lawrence Ave on Welches Point Rd and it obstructs the view of people pulling out on to Welches Point Rd from Lawrence Ave. Just past the new utility box is a large tree which means you have to pull out even further to see oncoming traffic coming from the westerly direction. While I was running for office and knocking on doors in the neighborhood I was asked to try and pull out of their street by several residents of Lawrence Ave. I had to pull my car out over 9 feet into the street to see oncoming traffic. I was told several calls were made to public works, several Alderman and the police department with nothing accomplished. This is a tragedy waiting to happen if it is not corrected soon.
