ACS responders dispatched at 14:08 to a 311 referral on 04-24-2023 regarding a homeless individual living in a tunnel in an arroyo off of San Mateo. We arrived on scene at 14:19 and spotted 2 tents in the tunnel on the southern side of the arroyo. There was a lot of trash scattered around the tents near the entrance to the tunnel. 1 consumer came out of the tent that was closest to the entrance. We made contact with the consumer who said he was struggling with a condition that caused him to have diarrhea very frequently.
Consumer did have diarrhea during our interaction. Consumer was able to get up and walk around but adamantly refused an ambulance for his condition. Consumer was provided TP and wipes. We departed the scene shortly after.
No further issues to report."

There was a significate amount of trash around the tent. Consumers denied all resources. ACS cleared the scene at that time and forwarded pictures to shift supervisor for family community services to respond to this address."

Effren also informed ACS that he has SNAP but the free phone areas don't have him in the system. ACS provided water and trash bags to help keep the area clean. ACS offered to take him to healthcare for the homeless. He declined because he can't leave his belongings. ACS contacted Debbie with Access Wireless and she informed us she can help once he gets Identification. ACS contacted Healthcare for the homeless and is getting an outreach team to come out and meet him. ACS departed the scene at approximately 1225 hours. No further actions to report."

On 6/29/23 Albuquerque Community Safety (ACS) ACCR2 unit were dispatched via 311 at 1604 to 3801 San Mateo Bl Ne in reference to homeless living in a tunnel of Hahn Arroyo, covered in trash.
At approximately 1623 ACS arrived on scene and parked at the parking lot. ACS walked down to the arroyo and observed carts in the tunnel with trash. Consumer by the name of Ephriam was living in the tunnel. ACS checked on his well-being and noticed he was limping. Ephriam denied medical attention and said he was okay. From previous interactions with Ephrima he had stated he wanted to get his ID. ACS said they would follow up with him tomorrow because the resource is closed at the moment to get his ID and medical attention for his leg. Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless was the resource ACS provided. ACS left trash bags and water for Ephriam. ACS departed the scene at 1641.
