Description

Can someone, anyone, PLEASE figure out a different/better system for this crosswalk?? Maybe a push button system? More/brighter street lights? Maybe move the crosswalk further down the hill towards Grant Ave, so it’s not on the crest of a hill?

*Crosswalk at S Puget Drive and Jones Pl SE/Rolling Hills Ave SE*

There was an elderly woman crossing the street here the other night around 5:30 pm and it’s already very dark outside by this point and MULTIPLE cars had to come to a screeching halt because no one could see her crossing initially. Concerns about speed aside, literally no one could see her because of how dark it was. To make matters worse, for some reason the normal flashing lights (which don’t help a lot anyway) weren’t working so it was just complete darkness at the top of the hill/crosswalk area.
