I reported this to the property owners, New Mount Calvary Cemetery is owned by Cathedral of Immaculate Conception and they sent their superintendent down Thursday morning to remove them after i told him I pulled them up and laid them down in place where they were installed. I spoke too soon as the signs have returned and more of them though they have been moved to accommodate safety I would like the proper dept. to check them out to see if they are displayed in a legal place. Are they on Cathedral of Immaculate Conception property or are they on city property? Please check them out because no one can argue signs bordering a cemetery show no respect to the dead or those visiting the cemetery on a temporary visit.

Thank you Michael for the e-mail. I received your voice mail last night and was going to visit the cemetery this morning and remove the signs. Her positions would not factor in the removal, as we do not allow any signage on our cemetery properties other than what we install to promote our faith and safe operations of our sites.

Saint Joseph's Cemetery?

I hope that by my passing along verbatim his email he sent the following day, it will put to ease the need from Joanna Cole's campaign to further act with contacting the cemetery owners directly.

Political sign are permitted within the right of way per city ordinance below. Political Signs on private property are at the discretion of the owners.

The following types of signs are permitted in all parts of the city and shall be exempt from the requirements of this Article:

(a) Political Signs: Signs advertising political parties and/or candidates provided:

1. The size of such signs does not exceed thirty two (32) square feet;

2. Such signs are not erected earlier than forty five (45) days prior to the election to which they pertain; and

3. All such signs are removed within three (3) days after the date of the election.
