I live on this street and in the section between Mary Snow School and the Park, the speed limit is 25 m.p.h. (15 in the school zone). Drivers routinely drive at speeds of 35-40 m.p.h. on this road, which is dangerous, since they are speeding through a school zone that has a well-used cross walk for children. Furthermore, drivers--on this 2 lane street--illegally pass on the right, at the cross walk at Broadway and South Park where there is a frequently-used cross walk. On several instances, I have seen drivers almost hit children in the crosswalk when they illegally pass a car that is waiting to turn left onto South Park Street.
