Last night, entered Center Street parking lot about 5pm. There were no less than six firemen (three, who were just spectators) rendering assistance to a woman. Also, their fire engine was blocking all of Center St. (a narrow one way), forcing those leaving to go the wrong way down a one-way street. This was dangerous, and there was no reason for it, as all they had to do was park the fire engine in the empty parking lot.

I have great respect for the New Haven firefighters, but here, they really did not use logic, and they missed the boat. You don't make the public safer by putting more of them at risk to help one person.
