Description
Please REPAVE the strip of roadway on Ellsworth Avenue between Goffe Terrace and Whalley Avenue! It is in terrible condition. Why is the Ellsworth Avenue roadway between Goffe Terrace and Crescent Street always maintained so beautifully while our end isn't? The winter weather will be here soon and the City hasn't even fixed the road from LAST winter. Don't patch it...REPAVE it PLEASE!!

Thank you very much for the beautiful paving job! It is a pleasure to drive down this section of Ellsworth now. The new sidewalks on either side of Ellsworth Ave. are beautiful, too!
My only question is why do residents have to complain so forcefully in order for the City to do what is obviously necessary? Take for example the end of Ellsworth between Derby Ave. and Edgewood Ave. and Edgewood and Whalley where the roadway is horrible, too. Do City officials EVER ride down these streets and notice how undriveable they are? Or is it only the squeaky wheel that gets the oil?

Hmmm. I will try to keep your answer in mind as I drive through the more "upscale" parts of New Haven's neighborhoods which (coincidentally) always seem to be pothole free and smoothe under my tires! Thanks for your prompt response and for explaining where my hard earned tax dollars go!
Don't want to appear ungrateful, though. The newly paved road really IS a pleasure to drive on now. Great job.
