Look I will certainly call out cops when I see them doing wrong too. Just because you work for the city doesn't mean you get special parking privileges. If you really need to get lunch in your truck (not sure if you're on call then). You and the city should work with the community to find a safe place to park your truck.

I want the people who are potentially saving my life not to also put me in danger and disobey the rules of society that everyone else has to follow. FD please find a solution! For example, park by the hydrants.

Could the city please clarify their policy on this? Could there be some defined parameters developed with communities about where city workers-- fire, police, etc. can park on their lunch but on duty (I'm assuming they're in their trucks because they're on call)? I understand they need to be near where they're going in case they have to sprint back, but they shouldn't be creating safety hazards in the process.

Does this mean the city will address this? No qualms with city personnel trying to grab a quick bite at a local business, but could the city figure out a good place for them to park so they aren't creating safety hazards while doing so?
