Summit Road is an unaccepted roadway. Chapter 90 funds can not be used on unaccepted roadways and Chapter 90 are the only funds we have to use for this type of work. Thank you.

The area of summit road that is falling apart is an accepted road . It was accepted in the 80's when sewer pipes were installed , which were 90% paid for by the state . The state would not install sewer pipes and pay 90% if they were unaccepted . Please look into this again . Thank You Nick Katsos

I still have not heard back from DPW .

Summit Road does not appear on the list of Town accepted roadways supplied to us by the MassDOT. The DPW does not accept roads on behalf of the town, this accomplished by Town Meeting. If you have any further questions on this roadway’s listing and DPW’s plan to get unaccepted roads accepted, please call the DPW. If your questions is when unaccepted roads will get accepted call the Town Manager’s office.
