I did see the results of the study. At the same time, i cross that street on a DAILY basis and the drivers seem to have no idea that there is a crosswalk. I am going to continue to request this as I do not want to see anyone get hurt.

DPW manager we respectfully disagree with the study which said that there are only 4 crossing an hour here. Based on the number of neighbors who use and complain about this crosswalk I believe the measurement was taken at a time of low pedestrian traffic. This is a primary walkway for students traveling between Laurelwood Farms/Briers/Madison and Chesnut/Peachtree/Dunwoody North Driving Club. I would assert that the count would also be even higher if people weren't afraid of the traffic there. A simple median "state law requires stopping for pedestrians in crosswalk" should do the trick.

While the police were out, they cited 19 cars for failure to yield.
This morning I watched a woman and her dogs try to cross the street. About 5 cars flew by without stopping. There needs to be a sign in the road- we don't have police resources to man all these bad crosswalk situations.

This issue is currently being looked into by a Public Works Inspector. Updates will come shortly.
