The house in question is actually 1108 Blvd. When I took the picture with the app it assigned the address where I was parked and I didn't realize until after I submitted.

The front door is hanging wide open. City recently did a hit&miss grass cutting as shown in picture but property has been vacant for over 5 years and is in un-repairable condition now. Wild animals inhibit and it is a severe danger to all local residents. Children live very close and this trash dump should have been torn down years ago before one of them is hurt or worse. Homes on Maynard in much better shape are regularly demo'd as part of neighborhood re-hab. I have been told this one is "on list, next to go" yet nothing is done, years go by and we watch it worsen. When it it going to be my neighborhoods turn?

We received notice the property was condemned several years ago and was to be torn down by the end of January 2016. Nothing has been done at all with it and no further updates. What is the current status with this please?

I just reported this house and now read about it being a reported issue for over 2 years... doesn't the mayor have some sort of blight removal platform he campaigns on? It seems to me that issues like this can be quickly resolved without even causing expense to the tax payer.It is frustrating that a condemned property such as this isn't taken down by the city and then the land sold to cover the cost of the removal. It can then be a property that someone cares about and the city actually makes money off of the property taxes.

This was closed due to time lapse so YOU all can be in compliance with your systems yet issue is not compliant with zoning, is a huge safety issue a blight to the neighborhood and the City of Macon . While I understand there are lengthy processes and legal issues but a resolution of too much time has passed on the issue is not a resolution. That disposition is we give up. If the process whether financial or administrative are obstacles, property tax payers deserve,at minimum, a better answer than “time lapse”

To me, this is a clear sign of elected local officials not doing their job. I intend to let them all know this next time I vote. There may be laws making this process a little cumbersome but not four years worth of cumbersome.

A mayor runs a campaign year’s ago on blight removal; in my neighborhood I have yet to see one blighted property removed. My taxes continue to rise. Because of houses like this one my property value continues to plummet while the crime rate goes up. To live on this side of town means getting harassed by Pan handlers as soon as you exit. It means not going to the grocery store after 11 pm. It means passing this house and others that are burned out, doors hanging wide open, no windows, years worth of overgrowth. It is a daily reminder of the apathetic, smug and lazy people we have governing this city.
