Hello city who wants Morris cove to accept an expansion of Tweed. Covers are pretty upset around issues being ignored. Flood increasing since Tweed put in new fence, street drains filling despite 2 weeks of no rain, septic smell for 2 weeks, flood gates not being maintained, roads unpaved since 1976, dangerous residential roads due to speeding and unlawful moving violations by cars, commercial vehicles and ct transit buses. And federal funds being used not to fix the flooding problem for 50% of the Cove but for the Alderman and 9 of his wealthy friends on the Wall many of whom are not in a flood zone This neighborhood is highly motivated and are tired of being ignored. None of this is going away unless you cross the bridge and fix the things we pay taxes for. This is a sad state if affairs. No wall, no expansion. We are done.

Why did tweed say to me that they have control of the tide gate?

There are 2 gates. A tide hate which is located at the sea wall on Townsend Ave and there is a flood gate which is located in Morris creek , downstream between the pumping station on Dean St and the outlet at lighthouse park
When water comes from the storm sewers, it's the seawall tide gate
The creek would back up if the flood gate was not working right
