This problem has not been resolved as of today. There are only two lights working. All the others are burned out. Shame on the State of Connecticut DPW for not paying attention to problems reported. These lights have been out for a long time on all exit and entrance Ramos of Exit 49. Get them all fixed.

@Ms. Rosheger - Pretty sure town folks have been bugging the state about the I91 lights for over a year. The State don't care. Have you called your State Reps? What have they said or done?

Hello, I have been in contact with Representative David Alexander of the 58th district, his explanation of what is happening and what he is doing about it is as follows: Rep. Alexander has told me that the lighting problem is a state DOT responsibility. Specifically it is a wiring problem that goes from Hartford to the Longmeadow line and over to RTE 190 to Suffield. He stated the DOT is working on it however, there are budgetary issues surrounding the repairs as well. He is aware of the problem has been in meetings with the DOT, has drafted a letter and is planning to expedite further contact as he believes the issue is definitely a safety concern. He welcomes communication from all citizens.

DOT has budgetary issues and we have one of the highest gas taxes.

I reported agsin last week that all the lights from I 91 north and south from exit 48 thru 49 including all on and off ramps have been out for almost two weeks. It is very very dangerous especially driving off and on the ramps. I will try and contact the representstive in Enfield or the CT DOT to get thid resolved.

Ms. Rosheger - I too, also spoke to a member of ConnDOT's engineering team last winter and again last spring when the outages were on the increase. I believe Ms. Arre was part of thread then as well.

The gentlemen characterized the project as significant in size-- and part of the agency's capital improvement project proposal that the Legislature has to adopt in the State budget.

I was told that he anticipated that the conditions on I91 will persist until the wiring is replaced.

Hi Mr. Lee: I 91 at exit 46 and 47 should be closed issue. the current problem which I reported over 2 weeks ago is the lights out from exit 48 thru exit 49 as well as the on and off ramps which are completely dark as of 11/10/14. I have friends who said it is so danerous they almost had a accident. Please have the CT DOT get the lights back on. There no excuse for this happening. If they can turn on the lights that were previously reported on 1-91 in Enfield then they should give this a priority.
