I did call them. First they said it was not there truck, then they claimed the noise ordinance did not apply to certain sections of new haven. They said they would get back to me....

called the police dept. and they said (and I quote)..* if a police person is right there while they come to empty the bins before 7am, they will get a ticket. most of the haulers, as in my building, come between 430 and 530AM, as this morning. again, lovely new haven with their ordinances don't do squat when its time to enforcing the law, sad to say.

One of the [many] reasons I moved out of East Rock. The early am noise became so bad, everyday of the week, excepting Sunday, there was a dumpster slamming and trucks beeping at 3-4-5 am. So glad I moved!

We are closing older Trash and Recycling issues in order to focus on current ones. Many of the issues reported were resolved by our routine Trash and Recycling Services. Some of the older Trash and Recycling issues were ordinance violations which were responded to by warnings and tickets.
