thanks for coming to see it, Eddie, but it still needs fixing. How much water can one lot take that is below the street? because there is broken curb and no curb?

Still not fixed. Unless you are part of the Meriden natives nothing seems to get done for you - take finch ave for instance
Barberry lane is just another example, we called the transportation dept in Meriden in July 2011 and they said they would get to it probably in august 2011- so much for a person's word.

10/17/11 Curb still not fixed, Meriden is a good ole boys club and probably due to this click fix somebody put this on the no go list. Prove me wrong!

10/23/11 Called public works and spoke with engineer about fixing broken curb, he said he would come this afternoon to "look" at it. We also requested curb be put in in front of our house because we are below street level and all the other houses on this side of the street have curbs in the immediate vicinity. We have not had a curb there for seven years since we moved in. We bought our house via Eddie Siebert from the Wollenburgs.. We really don't feel this is too much to ask of the city since we are current on all of our taxes.

Went to engineering office today at Meriden, CT city hall, room 19; associate engineer gone for the day, explained that we live below street level and we have had a broken curb and no curb above our property line and that we got ground water in our basement during hurricane Irene. Our back yard is not mowed due to wetness; our lawn mower keeps getting stuck in mud. Reported again to secretary that this problem was reported in July 2011 to their office. She took notes as I was speaking and wrote it in a notebook. She gave me the associate engineer's card with his direct line. Oct. 25, 2011.

This is on a list with many other locations of curb work to be done. I'm not sure if we'll be able to complete that this fall but if not it will be done next spring.
