This is true. I have dropped groceries here on two occasions: the potholes are deep enough that riding through them makes items bounce out of bike baskets and jar up and down within plastic bags, ripping open the plastic. Weaving around the potholes creates dangerous situations with automobiles. I now take a different route home from the grocery store.
