On Euclid Street NW (between 16th and 17th) on the north side of the street there has been a rash of car break ins. Virtually every night a car is broken into, and the street is littered with shattered glass. This is due to inadequate street lighting and either blocked or broken street lights on this block.

There is a serious need for additional street lighting. Also, the trees on the neighboring private property are untrimmed and blocking the existing street lamps. This one particular stretch of street also has a significant amount of litter and smells strongly of urine, and so the lack of lighting is also contributing to other crime.
