This is happening all over New Haven especially when an intersection is re-vamped, no analysis whatsoever(ie: Conte school's light) is done. Stimulus money was supposed to be spent on this. The unecessary pollution in New Haven comes from mistimed traffic lights. Often a cycle or two is completely missed. I drove a van, taxi, and My Ride vehicles and saw this often. Seeing that DeStefano is a Mayoral version of George W. I never took advantage of using the Mayor's night-out to address this.

This has been happening all over New Haven for YEARS unfortunately. Even when a new light is installed the timing is ALWAYS worse than the previous settings, it is very fustrating.

Over the past few days, I dont even think it changes to green. People have honestly given up waiting and just turn right, even though you aren't supposed to.

Please fix this!

As a former bus, van, and taxi driver in New Haven I can state 100% accurately that this is happening EVERYWHERE in New Haven!!! The NHPD officers see it but refuse to report it. Our NH traffic and parking dept. will say "your the only one who has complained". This city is operated like a 3rd world regime. WHENEVER a new traffic light or intersection is modified the timing is ALWAYS inferior to the previous setting. After over TEN years the Kimberly avenue ramp off 95 has still yet to be reconfigured causing drivers all types of tickets. Within a mere minute the police have easily 5-10 motorists pulled over for infractions!!!! $$$$$

This is really frustrating because there's no other way to get out of Lyon Street. The light doesn't need to change for long, just more regularly. Please address this.

As a former taxi driver I can tell you that the city has known about this for years and years and refuses to rectify it. Even worse: it is not a malfunction but is the normal manner in which lights are timed. Whenever a NEW intersection is changed I have noticed it is ALWAYS inferior in timing to the previous setting!! This is happening ALL over New Haven. Reason #811 on why people avoid our city.

This traffic signal was inspected as a result of the original complaint issued 4 months ago. Some of the components were changed out but from what I am hearing here, there is still a timing issue. The Signal Division was contacted today and they will be sending out a crew to inspect the signal a second time.
