Deskripsyon

The third lane on the right hand most side of Route 50 in order to get on to the Northway in the Northbound direction is too short. In the summer there is always traffic backed up because of the lights and many people must wait to go on the right lane for the Northway but cannot. For a improved approach the Northway lane should be increased in length by 200 feet. With this improvement there would be less traffic. This not only happens during the summer but year round.

What about the businesses along there? As it is drivers sitting at a red light don't leave an opening for people to enter the businesses when coming from the west. People need to be more patient!! Don't use the shoulder as a traffic lane either.

It can't be lengthened due to the business located on that side of the road. CB is right. Patience is the way to resolve the issue.

This is an issue that needs to be taken up with NYS DOT and they may not do anything until they get to their planned projects for the Arterial in 2014 - 2016.

The whole RT 50 from Marion ave to the mall needs another lane. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes to go a half mile.
